You will need to research and report on many important aspects of the Civil War. You will need to choose leveled projects that add up to 3 (ex. a level 1 +a level 2 project, one level 3 project, or 3 level 1 projects, only with permission from your teacher) *** Be creative with these and the way you present them***
Level 1 projects:
*Make and Color a map of southern and northern states (Level 1)
*making flags for the North and South (level 1)
*creating a timeline (level 1)
*Draw the uniform of a Northern or southern soldier or create a model (level 1)
Level 2
*Describe social and political Causes of the Civil War from the perspective of the north and south (level 2)
*reporting+ on a battle from both northern and southern point of view (level 2)
*reporting+ on 2 important events of the civil war (level 2)
*retrieving written letters from Civil War soldiers and summarize them (level 2)
*EXPLAIN THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE WAR FOR THE SOUTH (LEVEL 2)
*Present biographical information on two major leaders from the Civil War (Level 2)
*Write two diary, journal entries or letters from both viewpoints, ex. Confederate soldier vs union soldier or abolisionist vs pro-slavery person (level 2)
*Report on the technilogical advances and lack of advances in the Civil War (level 2)
*discuss spies during the Civil War(Level 2)
+Reporting can be either a video news story or a written newspaper article

*comparing advantages and disadvantages of the north and south during the war (level 3)
*critique reconstruction under Johnson: positive and negative impact (level 3)
*Describe and analyze the tactics used by sherman to end the War (level 3)
